While the show's been on hiatus, I've been working on a variety of things, one of which is a video editing project that I started at the end of June. I had done some video work before, but never anything as ambitious as this became: an approximately 80 minute set, backed by video clips assembled from a variety of sources. I learned a hell of a lot along the way, and I can see myself doing another project like this in the future.
I will only be airing this piece once. I will be showing it on Twitch on Friday, September 1st at 8pm. After that, it goes into the vault. Check out the clip for a teaser of what you'll be seeing if you tune in next Friday. I'll be setting up an event page in the next day or so, so you can join directly, so keep an eye out for that.
[Something I want to note: One song I included in this piece was added before it came out that the musician is (tacitly) okay with someone who's turned out to be problematic and gross. I went back and forth on whether to cut the segment, and in the end I chose to leave it because the segment was complete, it was part of the narrative, and the piece will only be seen in its entirety the once anyway. This does not mean I support musicians who are cool with taking advantage of groupies. I do not. Taking advantage of a power imbalance that way is despicable, and this will be the last time you'll hear me play any of his material.]
